Hey, Hi, How are you?
Here’s a little catch up on what’s been happening in my world.
January always feels like the longest month, doesn’t it? The holidays are over, it’s dark and the weather is shite. We are in the process of selling our flat and trying to find somewhere new to live. I’ve been trying to sort through some of the kids stuff that they don’t need anymore before we start the mammoth job of packing everything up, as fast as I pack things in to boxes the kids decide it’s the best thing they’ve ever owned – think I need to be more discreet about packing stuff away!
Still sleep deprived! My youngest kid wakes up so early, it’s rare he will sleep past 5am. I know the answer is to go to bed earlier but I’m a night owl and always have my best creative ideas at night so I end up staying up late working but I’m so tired! I’m also so tired of saying “I’m so tired!” 😂
What I’m reading, watching & listening to
I finished ‘I Hope This Finds You Well’. I didn’t rate it! If I start a tv show or film and don’t enjoy it I will switch off but with a book I always finish, even if it’s total shite! This wasn’t total shite but it was a bit of a slog to finish. Now I’m reading ‘One Last Secret’ by Adele Parks – already better than the last one – will report back when I’ve finished.
Just finished Black Doves, I thought it was pretty good, wish I’d watched it before Christmas when everything was christmassy. And I’ve been re-watching The Split, have you seen it? It’s so good! I’m a big Nicola Walker fan but it’s such easy watching!
And listening to … I love podcasts, can’t beat a walk with the headphones on! At the moment I love a business podcast, especially stories and interviews with successful women in business. My favourite this month was Rochelle Humes new podcast Ladies Who Launch and in particular her chat with Emma Grede. And Kate Ferdinand’s chat with Giovanna Fletcher on Happy Mum Happy Baby is a really lovely and honest chat about mum life.
Favourite Brand of the Month
I’ve already spoken about this brand on the blog, they inspired a whole little edit but I’m obsessed with their knitwear so I’ll rave about them again – Yuki kidswear!
